Ordering and Applying Name Bars / Cs and As
St. Albert Ringette, along with our jersey provider has developed the following guidelines related to purchasing and sewing on name bars for all teams.
First and most importantly name bars are not mandatory. The purchase and application of name bars must be agreed upon by the team as part of team fees prior to ordering and applying them to jerseys. If the team votes against it then no one can apply them to ensure uniform continuity, it is a team decision not individual preference.
All name bars must be purchased from Source for Sports, by filling out the attached spreadsheet and submitting it directly to Mitch King, mking.sfs@gmail.com. From the time of approved order and payment name bars will take 7-10 business days.
Name Bars:
U10S3 - U19: White Name Bar with Black Letters on Away (White) Jerseys ; Black Name Bars with White Letters on Home (Black) Jerseys
U10S1 & S2: White Name Bar with Black Letters
Captains and Assistants:
For the older teams that utilize Captains and Assistants, the SARA Equipment Manager will provide Cs and As upon request. These are to be sewn on and removed from the jerseys in the same fashion as name bars.
Cost:
The cost for name bars are $12.00 each
$24.00/player for U10S3-U19, and $12.00/player U10S1 and S2
Source for Sports will sew the name bars for $8.00/jersey, and $4.00 for C’s and A’s OR each team can find a skilled individual or company to complete this task on their behalf. The only acceptable application of name bars is sewing them on.
Prior to returning jerseys at the end of the season, name bars need to be removed. They should be given back to players for safe keeping and for being able to reuse the following season. The team manager must review and make note of any damage. The Equipment Manager, and return team will also review upon return and make any additional notes in regard to damage. Damaged Jerseys will be invoiced to the team at a cost of $75.00/jersey and will be deducted from the equipment deposit and/or invoiced for the team to pay prior to closing out bank accounts.
Placement:
Name Bars are to be placed on the back of the jersey, above the numbers. Placing them anywhere else or covering up sponsorship is prohibited.
Future:
Should we see several damaged jerseys at the end of the season, proceeding with name bars next season will be reviewed and the use of name bars maybe discontinued.
